Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern the use of services provided by The Botargas Secret SL (trading as GrantLever), VAT/NIF B19917517, Calle Villa de Marín 21 Esc 2 Piso 2 Puerta C, 28029 Madrid, Spain. By completing a payment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
1. Services
GrantLever provides expert diagnostic review services for researchers preparing or resubmitting MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship proposals. Current services are:
Concept Review — Evaluator-based assessment of a research concept at pre-writing stage. Deliverable: written feedback report including risk assessment and priority actions. Standard timeline: 7–10 business days from receipt of complete input materials.
Resubmission Diagnostic — Evaluator-based analysis of a previously submitted and rejected MSCA PF proposal. Deliverable: section-by-section diagnostic report including sub-criterion breakdown, action plan, and resubmission viability assessment. Standard timeline: 10–12 business days from receipt of complete input materials.
Pre-Submission Evaluation — Evaluator-based analysis of a MSCA PF proposal. Deliverable: section-by-section evaluation report including sub-criterion breakdown, action plan, and submission viability assessment. Standard timeline: 10–12 business days from receipt of complete input materials.
Host Finder — Match of candidates with research entities to develop the works of MSCA PF.
2. What the Service Includes and Excludes
The services described above provide professional evaluator judgment based on official MSCA assessment criteria. They do not include proposal writing, editing, proofreading, or translation. GrantLever services are advisory in nature. Completion of a service does not guarantee funding, a specific evaluation score, or any particular outcome in the MSCA PF selection process.
3. Process and Client Obligations
After payment is confirmed, the client will receive an input form requesting the materials required for the evaluation. The evaluation timeline begins only upon receipt of all required materials in full. The client is responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date materials. GrantLever cannot be held responsible for delays or reduced quality resulting from incomplete or inaccurate inputs.
The report is a GrantLever deliverable. The client receives a non-exclusive license to use it for the project covered by the service.
4. Evaluator Assignment
GrantLever assigns a qualified evaluator with relevant panel experience to each case. In the event that no suitable evaluator is available for the client's specific topic or panel, GrantLever will notify the client within 5 business days of payment and offer a full refund.
5. Payment
Payment is due in full before the service begins. Prices are stated in euros and include applicable taxes where required by law. Payment is processed via Stripe/Revolut payments/Wire transfer. An invoice will be issued upon request after payment is confirmed and the service is finalized.
6. Refund Policy
Payments are non-refundable once the evaluation case has been assigned to an evaluator and materials have been shared with them.
Exceptions:
If GrantLever cannot assign a qualified evaluator to the case, a full refund will be issued.
If the client has paid but has not yet submitted their input materials, a refund may be requested within 7 calendar days of payment by contacting hola@thebotarga.com.
The client may withdraw from the service within 14 calendar days following payment, provided that no input materials have been submitted and the service has not yet started. If the service has begun with the client’s explicit consent, the right of withdrawal shall no longer apply.
7. Confidentiality
All materials submitted by the client are treated as confidential. They are shared only with the assigned evaluator under a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Materials are anonymised where possible and deleted upon completion of the engagement.
GrantLever will not use client materials for any purpose other than delivering the contracted service.
8. Limitation of Liability
GrantLever's liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. GrantLever is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of funding opportunities.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Madrid, Spain, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights applicable in the client's country of residence.
